A gallery talk by Ben Burt and Stuart Frost, British Museum. Gallery talks last 45 minutes.

They are given by Museum staff or guest speakers and are suitable for all levels of knowledge.

A limited number of audio headsets will be provided to help visitors to hear the talk in the gallery and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Collecting histories strand of gallery talks examines how, why, and in what context British Museum objects have been acquired, displayed and interpreted.

The talks will explore histories of collecting objects from around the world, from the establishment of the Museum in 1753 up to the present day.
