Robert Aronson, Femke Diercks, Kristin Duysters,
Suzanne Klüver & Suzanne Lambooy
In this period of restricted travel and social distancing, the Kunstmuseum Den Haag has granted the French Porcelain Society exclusive access to their latest exhibition, ‘Royal Blue’, that celebrates the 400th anniversary of Delftware. We will be treated to a guided tour by exhibition curators and Delftware specialists with an introduction by Suzanne Lambooy, curator applied arts at the Kunstmuseum Den Haag. Robert Aronson, director of Aronson Antiquairs, Amsterdam, will show us some magnificent Douai vases and will discuss the use of Delftware at Huis ten Bosch Palace. Femke Diercks, head of decorative arts and curator of European ceramics at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, will focus on the now lost Water Gallery of Queen Mary at Hampton Court while Kristin Duysters, curator of ceramics and glass at Het Loo Palace, Apeldoorn, will talk about the use of Delftware at the Dutch hunting retreat of William and Mary. Finally Suzanne Kluver, curator applied arts at the Museum Prinsenhof, Delft, will explore the subject of Delftware memorabilia
