Join us this Friday when Laura Jenkins will be taking over our Instagram Stories for the day, giving us an insight into her research at home.

Laura is currently studying for a PhD at The Courtauld Institute of Art researching eighteenth-century French-style objects and interiors in late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century American residences. The title of her thesis is ‘Civilizing Decoration: French Interiors in the American Gilded Age, 1882-1914’.

She moved to London from the US in 2014 to pursue an MA in Fine and Decorative Art at Sotheby’s Institute, and subsequently held a post as Research Fellow with the Preservation Society of Newport County in Newport, Rhode Island. We look forward to welcoming her on Friday.
